Hello,

I have a '85 GM inherited from my grandmother. It's recently quit running and I'm racking my brain as to why.

What I've found:

-Fuel Pump works - replaced a few years ago.
-Fuel Pressure seems OK after testing with pressure gauge.
-Testing/pulling codes from the ECU says "Running too rich"
I can get it to run for a couple of minutes and dies almost like a cylinder at a time. Engine light comes on first.
-Distributor cap/button/spark plugs have been replaced in the last year or so.
-Adequate spark.
-Cat Converters do not appear to be clogged.
-It has 2 cat converters tee'ed into one muffler. there is a break in the "tee" which i will get replaced if i can get it running.

The muffler leak wouldn't affect the engine running would it?
I'm open to any thoughts, suggestions, tips to get this car running.

Thanks,

M
