View Full Version : should i buy a 2006 mercury mariner hybrid?
will it be difficult to buy parts for it 5 or 6 years down the line?
Does anyone know anything about the hybrid engine in it? or any mariner hybrid owners out there who can inform me and give me some things to look at prior to buying?
The only reason to buy a hybrid is you mostly city driving. The gas engine kicks in when your vehicle goes over 25 miles per hour. When your passing or going up a hill both electric and gas engine engage. If you do mostly highway driving, you will not get any fuel savings over the normal Mariner and you will be paying 2-3 thousand dollars more for the used Mariner.

Hybrids are good for current condition. If you care about environment and global warming problem then I think this is is the best option for you to choose now.
