How much is a bottom ball joint replacement going to cost me for my mercury grand...

...marquis? The bottom ball joint on the front passenger wheel just broke on my car. It's a 1996 mercury grand marquis. I'm not a mechanic of any sorts, so I'll probably be taking it in. Any idea how much this is going to set me back?

it really depends where you take it for repair. if you take it back to dealer it will cost lots probably. i have found a mechanic that does good work at a very fair price. you should too. ask around and find someone to do your repair at a fair price and stick with him. it would cost me about 60 dollars, parts and labor. take it back to dealer and it will cost maybe 200 dollars parts and labor. good luck
