How do I change the fuel filter on a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis GS?

I need to change the fuel filter.

filter is located on the left side mounted on the car frame.you need a special tool to remove the filter.it used plastic clips to lock in the filter.tools cause about 15 dollars from pep boys or kragen auto parts.it takes about half an hour to change it. you need a pan to capture the excess gas when you remove the filter.cover the fuel filter connector with a cloth and remove fuel filter slowly to release the fuel pressure.do this job in a wide open area so you can breathe.
