...a 85 Mercury Grand Marquis? I bought a new 85 Grand Marquis, it needs a tranny flush real bad, where can I find the info for self maintenance? (free and detailed) I'm a beginner mechanic, too

transmissions are nothing to fool with AND the trans fluid is very toxic ( cancer related)

yes but it costs some money to do it right with out the right equiment ,you have to discont the 2 lines going to the radator and fine out witch one is the out lit and inlet the in let but into the jug of trany fuild and the other into a emty bucket making sure the fluid stay full at all time its trickey so do it right ..or if you can get a your tourk convert and see if it has a drain plug in the side if the convert then you my drain the system throw there .

Take it to shop, youll mess it up doing it yourself, way to messy and you could get burned badly, we charge 99.99 for a bg flush, it backflushes the whole system clean and then installs a additive after the flush, leave it to the pros.
