Where is the transmission filter located for a 2004 Mercury Montego?

I was attempting to change the transmission fluid on my 04 Mercury Montego but could not access the transmission filter? I dont know how or where to locate it and then change it? Can anyone help me out?

Take the pan off. It's there.
