Is there a way to do this in the car - without taking to a shop/car repair store? Some cars have special key combinations you can select to have the code appear on the car's electronic display. Does anyone know if there's something similar on the mountaineer?
I do know about going to Auto Zone to have them read to code for free. My original question was more geared towards being able to check the code without having to use a 3rd party, i.e., checking the code using some function of the car itself.
