Hey I have a 2006 mercury milan and im trying to upgrade my head lights to the new hi-led lights. The only problem is that if the wrong ones are put in it can burn sockets or maybe even wires. I know they come as a kit and also know my bulb size is H11 but on the hi-led there are 3 or 4 different ratings for this size... 5000k, 8000k, 10000k or 12000k. If anyone has any info can u plz share? Thanx...

Not sure if you have found an answer, but the 5000k, 8000k, 10000k or 12000k is the temperature (color) of the light. The higher the temp, the more blue the light. HIDs come with a ballast to regulate the voltage flow to the light bulb itself. What you need to worry about is the wattage of the light. For your low beams you want to go with a 35w light bulb and 6000k is a bright white light. Anything above that starts to become blue, below starts to become yellowish. On a 35w light you most likely wont need to install a relay, but its a good precaution. If you havent found any yet or were worried because of pricing, DDM Tuning sells them 30 a pair. May sound to good to be true but I have them in my car and all my friends have bought theirs from there with no problems. They also have a lifetime warrenty. Have anymore questions just let me know.
