2006 Mercury Mariner HYBRID Nav/cd/radio.. the nav controls barely work.?

I have to bang the dial to make it move. Anybody have this problem? Anybody know what I can do about this other than buying a new unit? Thanks in advance.

check to see if the warranty covers it. 100,000 mile warranty on any hybrid only part.
