I bought 1997 mountaineer and replaced all shocks but I still hear a noise under the suspension and sometimes it still seems to bottom out in the front end. any ideas what could be causing this. thank you steve

Did you replace all of the ball joints, mounting hardware, and bolts? That may be your problem. I know that Strutmasters has the best prices and Monroe would probably make these parts for your vehicle. Strutmasters is a distributer of these products. I've checked on a couple of things myself with them

I had the same type of rattle on the front passenger side. Ended up being the stabilizer bar. Turn your wheel and reach under there and see if the bar has any movement. It was very easy to replace and costs only about $20.00

I just had my front ball joints replaced under warranty for a 2008 Mountaineer AWD. The metal on metal clanking was there for about a month. My warranty runs out in 3 days so I am glad it was covered.
