What car is considered higher end model?

I know this post is older, but, I thought I would try to help add some thoughts to it.

The cars are pretty much identical. Other than some subtle body style changes. The Montego has LED tail lights vs a standard bulb. Engine & Drivetain is the same between (3.0 Duratec) the cars, if I understand correctly.

The AWD system that was used on the 500/Montego AWD Models was the Haldax system (Adopted from Volvo). I believe this changed when Ford/Mercury re-branded the cars in 2008.

If I had to reconsider I would get a 500 since there are much more replacements parts available. For instance I cant even see out of my headlights because no one makes headlight assembly replacements for the montego. The factory are $1600.
