Default 05 Montego 2wd harsh shifting when warm intermittently

sometimes the car shifts really bad and feels like the engine is going to fall out of the car. Then I also get the cel that comes on intermittently for running too lean in both banks. Please Let me know if you have any thoughts that could help me. Thank you

Lean on both banks generally means you have a vacuum leak, dirty injectors (Techron works wonders) or a dirty M.A.F sensor. You should have the codes read for the transmission issues. I doubt Autozone, etc can read trans codes so a trip to a transmission shop may be in order. The most common problem is the torque converter.

I just did a Powerpurge at AAMCO. 70K Miles. Tranny is like new again.

I also put a 20 gallon bottle of Techron into one gallon of gas. It made a noticeable difference.
