Default Oil leak

To anyone out there, I have a couple issues with my 91 grand Marquis.

1. A little over a month ago, I got a new used engine (302) in Marquis. After about a week of driving, I noticed i can smell oil burning with smoke. ( seems oil leaking onto engine and it's causing smoke and burning). I removed the air filter and noticed oil splattered under the air filter housing unit and all around it. I put oil stop peak into car, but didn't work. Oil light does work, but it is not on. When i put the car in drive, there is a constant clacking sound. Engine is in good shape. I drive it 20 to 30 mins 6 days a week on highway on my way to work and 20 to 30 mins from work 6 days a week. Also, I get horrible gas mileage. Driving to and from work in 2 days, I will run through a whole tank of gas. Haven't changed spark plugs since engine was replaced. Fuel filter and air filter has been changed. Anyone know what could be the cause of this clanking noise, oil burning, and bad gas mileage?

2. My motors in my Windows work, but they won't go up or down. Called part store and was told that the gears may need to be replaced. He also said that the regulator did not need replacing.

Can someone share their knowledge on these, please?
