Default Mountaineer 2001 A/C NEED HELP

I own a Mercury Mountaineer 2001 which has had air conditioner (A/C) problems for the past year. I was told that there is a suspected leak, but it has NEVER been found. So, the wiring on the A/C compressor, the evaporator core, and the A/C hose were all replaced for leaks. 6 mechanic visits and much $$$ later, the same problem occurs. It will blow cold air for a short period of time and then, bam, switch to hot air. For example, now I am at max A/C (60 degrees) and the car feels like it is high 80 degrees. If anyone can offer a suggestion of what may be wrong, I would really appreciate it!
