Default 93 Marquis Unsteady idle (Rough?) feels ready to stall

Hi there, I have owned my Marquis for a couple of months now, has 77,000 miles and was owned by an elderly couple, but sat for a couple of years so it sort of had some repercussions from that time period. Starts right up beautifully every time. But the idle some what goes up and down, sometimes even causing the whole car to sort of wobble. At lights it sometimes feels like its about ready to stall out. Funny thing is, I had a brand new IAC valve installed into it for to help the problem, turns out it didn't help at all. it also forcefully spits out of the tail pipe while idling, not smoke or liquid, just air. it just doesn't seem healthy for it to forcefully release so much air the way it does. a part of me thinks the engine is going bad, but another part of me is hoping that its a fixable problem. such low mileage and great shape, I'd love for it to have a long life a head of it. I appreciate any leads. It's very hard getting reliable information about the car.. thank you very much for your time.
