Question 2003 Grand Marquis driver seat is sagging

The seat back basically reclines on its own. I've taken it out of the car and on removing the bolt on the armrest side of the seat found that the threads were stripped on the nut that's welded to the arm that goes into the seat bottom. I put a bolt through it and used a washer against the nylon spacer, then a nut and a jam nut on the end toward the passenger seat. But, one day of driving and the seat is reclining again. The back tilt works, but only to recline it even farther. Anyone found a way to fix this ? Thanks,
