I've had a simillar problem with my '02 Mountaineer. The A/C blows warm air while idling, like at a stop light. It cools off once the car is in motion. We were told the same - that nothing is wrong.

Default A/C while idleing

Late post, but that condenser fan on those cars, electric, is not very big. When its real hot outside, it just doesn't pull enough air across the fins to cool it off. Thats why in motion, it cools fine. I've never checked, but there might be some aftermarket upgraded fans, that produce more airflow. Other than that, the transition from freon (r12) to 134a left a/c users with a poor preforming coolant.
